We build characters from composite interviews describing awkward silences, overlapping speech, or unclear commitments that derailed projects. Backstories explain pressure sources, incentives, and cultural frames shaping choices. By rehearsing tensions without blame, participants experience empathy, uncover hidden constraints, and find language that honors dignity while still moving deliverables forward responsibly and measurably.
Each pack references cultural dimensions as hypotheses, not labels: context levels, directness, time orientation, hierarchy, and uncertainty tolerance. Prompts invite players to test interpretations against behavior, not passports. Reflection questions redirect sweeping generalizations toward practical experiments, encouraging teams to co-create shared norms and signal-checking routines that outlast any single workshop or meeting.
Psychological safety matters most when practicing high-stakes dialogue. Facilitator notes pace emotional intensity, offer opt-out mechanisms, and suggest neutral language when misunderstandings escalate. Stretch comes from trying new phrasing, negotiating meeting flow, and tolerating productive silence. Participants leave with phrases, signals, and agreements they can apply immediately in complex, ambiguous projects tomorrow morning.
